What's the role?

The role supports our business' growth ambition within the B2B space, by ensuring we provide accurate and timely flexible energy product offers and contract documentation to our salespeople delivering sustainable customer growth.

Reporting into the I&C Deal Structuring Manager, the role requires a self-motivated, dedicated, and responsible individual with the ability to perform well under pressure.

You will be responsible for credit assessing customers and making credit recommendations where necessary, ensuring all deals priced are economically viable and remain profitable throughout their lifetime.

You will be a self-starter and be great at managing conflicting priorities, that often require completion within tight deadlines. Working collaboratively across teams to build our flexible pricing capabilities, enabling us to expand and grow our existing range of product offerings.

An excellent verbal and written communicator with the ability to build great working relationships across the business including demand forecasting, supply, risk, legal and finance in order to support sales position our offers effectively.

You will get the opportunity to deliver improvements to our pricing process and system capability that will have tangible benefits for our business customers, including improving the speed at which tenders are generated, simplifying the contracting process, and developing more tailored offers by incorporating a wider set of customer information when determining the price point.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • End to end management of all pricing activities from credit assessments to contract generation.
  • Analysis of the customer's energy consumption, costs and risks to achieve the correct commercial outcomes.
  • Monitor contractual performance, advising operational functions on purchasing, billing, payment, metering and reconciliation.
  • Establish operational excellence through the implementation of robust and well documented processes that mitigate risk.
  • Develop and automate systems where possible to optimise commercial returns.
  • Analysis and effective management of the flex customer portfolio to ensure profitability through their lifetime.
  • Credit decision recommendations.

What we need from you

We are keen to hear from individuals who ideally have experience in retail energy pricing or have a good understanding of the energy wholesale market and third-party charging mechanisms.

We also hope you possess the following skills and/or experience:
  • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Be an excellent written and verbal communicator.
  • Self-starter who can work well under pressure and manage strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel knowledge and familiar with using MS Office.
