The position
By joining our team in Projects, Drilling & Procurement you will have the opportunity to work with risers / flexibles / umbilicals / cables, within the following activities:

  • Join our Subsea Facilities team and provide support to new and ongoing projects in one of the following areas:
    • Shaping the future of new fields and develop new prospects into existing infrastructures.
    • Umbilicals and Cables.
    • Flexibles and Risers.
  • Collaborate with our contractors for our projects and new technologies.
  • Conduct screening and take part in concept development & early-phase studies.
  • Prepare technical documents for project sanction, studies and contract tendering.
  • Define scopes, review study reports and comply with relevant technical requirements.
  • On occasion travel to other destinations and offshore.

These positions are situated within our Subsea Facilities team, which is a competence and resource unit responsible for all Subsea Facilities resources within Oil and Gas, and Low Carbon solutions. The Subsea Facilities team covers SURF (Subsea Production Systems, Umbilical, Riser, Flowline), and our sector's main task is to provide projects with project engineers, task- and project managers; and to develop our personnel's competence across the technical disciplines, within project development and leadership.

For this position, we are also looking for:

  • A master's degree in Marine, Naval Engineering, Mechanical or similar. A bachelor's degree with broad relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Experience within engineering, procurement (including contract follow up), construction and installation of subsea pipelines, flexibles, cables and/or umbilicals.
  • Global analysis and design of riser systems:
    • Flexible pipe cross-section design.
    • Riser, umbilical, cable design and installation.
    • Dynamic analysis for umbilicals / cables.
  • Experience with the following tasks would be an added advantage: exposure to tendering and evaluation activities, and/or a good understanding of project development.
  • A structured and systematic mindset, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Flexibility to travel to other locations across Norway and internationally.
