As a Process Engineer focused on switch manufacturing, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of your work, adhering to strict manufacturing processes. Under direct supervision and following precise work instructions and systems checks, you will operate within a clearly defined framework. Your role involves executing a series of standard operational procedures in a step-by-step manner to achieve the desired outcome efficiently and effectively.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
  • Supports Machining Center Process reviews, improvements and actions.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing or Engineering).
  • This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.


Desired Characteristics
  • Previous Manufacturing Engineering experience.
  • Previous experience in the manufacture and test of Switches.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.


The base pay range for this position is $ 64,600 - $80,000 . The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 8/7/2024.
