At our local office in Edmonton, Alberta we design and manufacture applications and electrical schemes for Motor Control Centers and Low Voltage Switchboards. We currently have an opening for a Warehouse Team Lead on the 1st shift (7:30AM to 4:00PM). This position will work a regular schedule and is expected to work overtime hours as needed.

Primary responsibilities

  • Should spent 70% of their time working as DVC PV ( LWB 2 activities) and 30% of their time working as DVC NPV (Team Leader activities)


  • Responsible for the performance of the p rocess(es) through nonhierarchical activity of teams.
  • Aligns resources to needs, provide or obtain training where necessary for successful completion of standardized work
  • L eads short interval management (SIM) at line / process level and may formulate solutions and escalates barriers whe n necessary
  • Strong contributor to SPS and continuous improvement


Main activities

Team leader activities
  • Ensure compliance with SH&E and 5S rules within the area of your responsibility , including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
  • Identify non-compliant situations and behaviours
  • Ensure proper appli cation of defined processes and procedures
  • Contribute or lead continuous improvement actions (such as Kaizen events)
  • Make sure employees are trained & validate training levels are consistent with job duties
  • Drive real-time adjustments of resources within the department to meet business needs
  • Drive the actions to get service level, quality products, WIP & ensure productivity goals are reached
  • Coordinate support function s as needed to maximize throughput and reduction of turnaround time/cycle time
    • Escalate any barriers occurring during the shift according to the escalation process of SH&E , Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance , etc.
    • Own SIM cycle 1 KPI's for Warehouse and Shipping
    • Lead SIM cycle 1 according to SPS rules, ensuring the quality of information provided to the Supervisor during SIM 2

  • Ensure optimal throughput on a consistent basis
  • Manage and d rive the efficiency of the non- value added activities

  • Other duties as assigned
