Salary circa: £60,000 pa, negotiable on experience, with car allowance of £5,055 per annum and great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Join us and shape our new role of Lead Maintenance Manager for Gas and Electrical Compliance in our Home Group Repairs Service at this exciting time of operational growth and change. Providing strategic leadership to our regional repairs and maintenance teams through our gas and electrical teams, with overall responsibility for safety and compliance; you'll lead on all gas and electrical delivery across our maintenance and servicing programmes across North East and Yorkshire. You'll drive service excellence and supercharge performance to provide reliable and consistent services for our customers, delivering on our customer promise.

Typical day as Lead Maintenance Manager for Gas and Electrical Compliance

• You'll lead the regional team on all aspects of gas and electrical safety and compliance, working across our regions to supercharge your teams' performance, driving quality, cost, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and achieving key performance indicators.
• As Health and Safety lead for gas and electrical compliance, you will ensure duty holders are in place, and will be accountable for high-risk activities and ensuring all health and safety practices and processes are embedded compliantly within your teams and subcontractor operations.
• Driving repairs, maintenance and servicing performance, through a right-first time approach, effectively managing internal trades, contractors and suppliers and achieving positive customer satisfaction scores.
• With a laser sharp commercial focus, ensuring we are delivering at the right costs by keeping close control of our budgets and leading our gas and electrical teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement to drive efficiencies.
• Successfully leading operational and business change initiatives with a current focus on supporting our Head of Maintenance on expansion of our services.

You have

• A relevant qualification in an electrical or gas discipline, with extensive knowledge and experience in gas, electrical safety and compliance works.
• Strong background (relevant degree or equivalent professional experience) of in-house maintenance and contract management in a commercially challenging environment.
• You can interpret contractual clauses, use data and statistics to identify trends and drive compliance performance.
• NEBOSH or equivalent Health and Safety qualification, leading Health and Safety across direct maintenance activities, including CDM regulations and all primary compliance.
• Strong ability to forecast demand, plan resources, and successfully manage a large and dispersed workforce, driving productivity, reducing waste and delivering services at the right time and cost.
• An experienced people manager, able to effectively challenge performance and lead high performing teams to achieve operational excellence and make it a great place to work.
• A full current driving licence as you'll work across our regional repairs and maintenance services and will be provided with a car allowance.

• You'll manage your own diary, so if you need to nip out to walk the dog or do the school run, we're ok with that!
• This a hybrid role working across our regional services. You'll spend a couple of days a week in the office, some days working at home and the rest working across our services as required.
• Able to use technology for workforce management and demand planning, managing budgets and collaborating with other colleagues.
