Job Purpose:

The Market Leader initiates, develops and maintains relationships with clients and key stakeholders, maintains accurate knowledge of the Nuclear and Aerospace clients network and the worldwide markets, supports the marketing actions and commercial strategy defined by the INDUSTRIES Business Line's Head of Market, in order to implement the commercial actions and meet order intake objectives.

Scope:

The Nuclear & Aerospace ( N&A) Market Leader will focus on developing the knowledge & market awareness of the Regional BDM network on N&A opportunities and support them in the sourcing, prospection and follow up of commercial opportunities in their region. Whenever possible, the Market Leader will bring a technical & commercial support to the Regional BDM Network in order to help them understanding in depth the N&A clients' needs and requests.

Accountabilities:

Business Development
  • Gathers, consolidates and shares knowledge related to the business environment of his/her area of responsibility, and in particular related to clients, partners / competitors and local market peculiarities (local content requirement, specific legal and fiscal regimes, forex issues, applicable rules, norms and standards specific to these industries ...). This typically requires to establish and maintain sustainable relationships with the relevant management and technical / commercial departments of national and international stakeholders, clients and partners organizations, through regular visits, as well to leverage the knowledge gathered by the rest of Technip Energies organization (ongoing projects, other business units and operating centers, etc.). The market understanding and analysis includes particular clients organizations, investment plans, key personnel, decision making processes, key selection criteria, as well, with regard to partners / competitors, financial and operational condition, organization, workload, strengths and weaknesses, commercial strategies and pricing trends.
  • Monitors prospects, identifying targets and providing advanced information in order to establish commercial strategies before ITB is received.
  • Prepares and leads pre-tendering strategy meetings, in order to obtain Technip Energies management validation of the commercial strategy.
  • Launches and follows through compliance activities to validate external partners.
  • Provides inputs and supervises preparation for prequalifications in line with Client requirements and the commercial strategy.
  • Whenever possible act as technical & commercial support of the BD Regional Network, and help the Regional Network to apply the commercial strategy defined by the Business Line's Head of Market.

Reporting lines and interactions:
  • Reports to: Head Of Market Industries
  • Key internal interactions:
    • All Technip Energies' group actors involved in the bids preparation, at level of commercial and operational teams, including legal team, project financing and insurance teams, management.
    • Marketing team
  • Key external interactions: clients, partners, suppliers, subcontractors and local authorities

Profile:
  • Commercial/Management degree with strong technical experience in Nuclear and/or Aerospace market or Engineer with strong Marketing and international Business Development experience;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Nuclear and/or Aerospace markets;
  • Good overall knowledge and experience over the main project stages and particularities of Nuclear and Aerospace projects
  • Experienced with Nuclear and/or Aerospace client requests for quotations;
  • Technical & commercial autonomy, able to bring a 360° approach/understanding of a N&A project;
  • Fluent in English.
  • International experience;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in multicultural environments
  • Demonstrated ability to work simultaneously on multiple opportunities and meet deadlines;
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with ability to actively listen and analyze;
  • Engineering experience is a plus but not mandatory.
