The Opportunity:

As an Offshore Manager at Rovco, you will have a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of MSC projects. This position is essential to our mission of delivering high-quality hydrographic data and marine geophysical services. You will oversee vessel project activities and uphold our high Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) management standards.

QHSE Advocacy:

  • Demonstrate commitment to Rovco's values and ensure compliance with the company and project health, safety, environmental, quality, and ethics systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring we uphold our high standards.
  • Assess operational risks and escalate as necessary, ensuring we anticipate and manage risks effectively.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, leading by example and ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Project Execution:

  • Direct and manage the offshore survey team, ensuring all members are aligned with project goals and company values.
  • Oversee the vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, processing, and demobilisation of survey equipment and personnel.
  • Provide technical guidance and ensure best industry practices are followed onboard the vessel.
  • Ensure quality control and assurance data collected aligns with both the company standards and project requirements.

Client Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients onboard, ensuring their requirements are met and fostering strong professional relationships.
  • Build effective relationships through regular communication, ensuring we exceed clients' expectations.
  • Provide operational updates to clients onboard and the onshore project team, ensuring transparency in our communication.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Explore alternative working methods to enhance project efficiency, ensuring that we continuously improve our processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes, including lessons learned, ensuring that we build on our successes.

You should apply if you have:Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marine Science, engineering, science-based subject, or related field.
  • Minimum five years of experience in offshore survey operations as Party Chief or Senior member of the survey team.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, and the ability to hold open exchange of information and viewpoints, actively listens to others.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with the latest survey equipment and software, and the technical knowledge to manage complex marine operations
  • Experience of ROV survey mobilisation, data acquisition and inspection
  • Experience within the marine sector, mainly hydrographic and geophysical survey, is advantageous.
