JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is seeking expressions of interest (EOI) for a Shutdown Scheduler to join the site planning team based on site at the Orbost Gas Plant near Orbost. This is a contracted role with a planned commencement of August 2024.



Reporting to the client on daily basis and the Shutdown Coordinator, a key focus of your role will be to prepare a detailed shutdown schedule for 2025 OGP shutdown.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a detailed shutdown schedule using MS project, ensuring all activities are planned and timed accurately
  • Define the sequence of activities and tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient shutdown process
  • Chair weekly planning meeting (as required) and drive planning process including weekly and monthly lookaheads
  • Produce and issue updates to shutdown schedule
  • Produce and issue updates to shutdown manpower requirements
  • Monitor overall maintenance progress and achievement of major milestones
  • Liaise with other planners within the team and share responsibilities as appropriate to deliver an effective planning service to the client


QUALIFICATIONS

The successful Scheduler will have the following experience and skills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years as a Scheduler in EPCM Oil & Gas environment
  • Proven experience using MS project
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining maintenance schedules
  • Strong experience with progress tracking and measurement
  • Analysis of subcontract schedules
  • Maintenance forecasting and reporting
  • Proactive participation in weekly planning coordination meetings
