JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is currently seeking expressions of interest for a Permit to Work Coordinator to join our team in Gladstone, Queensland.



Reporting to the Construction Superintendent, the successful candidate will ensure that all Permit to Work (P.T.W.) work scope is actioned in a safe and controlled manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read, understand, and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, always ensuring that the (P.T.W.) work scope is completed safely and to a high standard
  • Ensure all (P.T.W.) work scopes are in accordance with applicable work pack / job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings / sketches
  • Provide support to trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline Risk Assessment Team
  • Ensure applicable Permit to Work (PTW) is to complete work scope in a controlled and safe manner
  • Coordinate and monitor Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) in association with Isolation Control Certificates (ICC)
  • Ensure appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) is to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years' experience within the Oil & Gas or similar industry
  • 3+ years' experience in permit coordination
  • Varied and detailed work experience in the industry and sound knowledge of the basic principles of PTW systems
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical isolation processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to relate to a multi-cultural workforce
  • Business software competency (MS Office/Oracle/VPRM) Advantage
  • Proven organisation skills with engineering qualifications
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work on own initiative
