We are looking for a Vessel Data Initiative Lead to join our team in our Sutton, London or Westhill, Aberdeen office on a permanent basis.

We are Digitalising 7. This means we are constantly looking for new ways to improve how we leverage data to improve the predictability and productivity of our projects.

Subsea 7's vessels produce vast quantities of data which is currently not fully exploited for the benefit of our project delivery. How we gather, manage, utilise and analyse that data is a critical part of Subsea 7's Digital Project Delivery strategy.

This role is to develop processes and tools to manage and utilise that data to create value, this will also be done in conjunction with Subsea7's subsidiary 4Subsea.

4Subsea, collaborates with us to develop a range of solutions in their data platform 4insight. These solutions can encompass both software and hardware components.

This is a role within Digitalisation with reporting lines to the Operations Workstream lead within the Digitalisation Programme Leadership Team (PLT).

This role will see you;

• Collaborate with various teams across Subsea7 and Seaway7, including Digitalisation, Fleet Transformation, Engineering and Projects & Offshore Operations
• Work with project teams to structure vessel data for use internally and for delivery to clients
• Engage with stakeholders within Subsea7 and Seaway7 to transform vessel data into actionable scalable concepts to provide valuable insights.
• Work with 4Subsea to create additional applications and explore other business opportunities

The role will challenge you to work in an agile project management way of working whilst providing you with excellent opportunities to develop new skills and gain exposure to the wider Subsea 7 and Seaway 7 organisation.

What will you be doing?

• Work with Project Teams to develop our Digital Project Delivery flow paths relevant to vessel data.
• Manage the vessel data model, set up a confidentiality assessment and other meta data against each data string with support from the data owners
• Act as a champion for change and promote a data-centric culture
• Engage with different regions & functions, both in Subsea 7 and Seaway 7 to promote the benefits of 4insight
• Guide the development by 4Subsea of identified initiatives to meet Subsea7 business needs and support the wider development of digital services for the Group
• Develop business cases for the development of tools o explore our data and realise the value
• Lead the relationship between Subsea7 Digitalisation team and 4Subsea

What experience would we like you to have?

We seek candidates with Level 2 to Principal Engineering experience. Additionally, we are also looking for:

• Self-starter/Completer finisher may have experience of working on their own or with own initiative
• Familiar with data frameworks, models and requirements to link data sets between different data sources
• Changing old habits is tough, youwill be enthusiastic about developing new ways of working and promote the benefits of standardisation and repeatability.
• Be open to acquiring new skills, including software development frameworks, project management, and workshop planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management is vital for success

Candidates will be flexible and able to travel to Oslo and other Subsea7 offices.
