We are looking for a Topsides Project Engineer for our client who is a leading player in the oil and gas industry.

The Topsides Project Engineer shall be responsible to carry out and coordinate the development of multi-disciplinary brownfield topsides projects, from concept definition to final commissioning.

The individual is expected to be accountable to coordinate all technical, commercial and project control parts during the development of brownfield topsides projects. The role, based in London, UK, will require international travel and interface with the subsidiaries.

Main responsibilities and activities:
Definition and delivery of project technical scope:
- Project engineering deliverables (Concept, FEED, Detail Design).
- Project material procurement and fabrication activities (LLI and other).
- Project execution activities (Logistics, offshore execution, commissioning).
- Project risks identification and mitigation.
- Project close-out and handover to operations.

Preparation and implementation of the project strategy:
- Project execution plan definition and update (concept, engineering, procurement/fabrication, execution, commissioning).
- Project contracting strategy definition and update (concept, engineering, procurement/fabrication, execution, commissioning).

Coordination of project resources organization:
- Internal - Project (Supply Chain, Legal, HSE, Technical Support).
- Internal - Operations (Subsidiary management, offshore site, logistics).
- External (Engineering contractors, vendors).

Project control and reporting:
- Periodic stakeholders reporting (Management, onshore operation teams, offshore operation teams, regulatory bodies).
- Schedule (Elaboration, schedule control, recovery plan, KPI reporting).
- Cost (Budget elaboration and submission, cost control, KPI reporting).

Management of project external scopes with contractors/vendors:
- Enquire budgetary quotation during project definition.
- Elaborate technical dossier for formal RFQ.
- Coordinate RFQ phase (with support from SCM and Legal) until scope award.
- Active support and follow-up (SCM, legal) from scope award to PO placement.
- Focal point for scope technical development, from kick-off to close-out.
- Focal point for scope commercial follow-up (timesheets, invoice approval, variation orders).

HSE responsibilities:
- Enforce company HSE objectives and directives
- Ensure the respect of statutory requirements and Group guidelines.

Qualification & Experience:
- Master of Science Degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years relevant experience in the oil and gas upstream industry.
- Track-record of experiences in successful multicultural international project delivery.
- Track-record of brownfield project management (Company or Contractor).
- Track-record of active interface with offshore operation activities and personnel.
Behavioural skills:

- Excellent communication skills.
- Comfortable to lead and arbitrate technical discussions.
- Comfortable in multicultural and multi-language environment.
- Available for regular ad-hoc offshore missions.
