An exciting opportunity to join our growing Sustainability Team as our Energy Manager! As our Energy Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives, which involves developing, implementing and managing energy strategies to reduce energy consumption, lower costs and minimize the environmental impact of the company's operations. You will provide professional advice and support to FM Conway's management team and board of directors, supporting the company in delivering policies and core values and ensuring the development and implementation of SHEQ best practices. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our head office in Sevenoaks, Kent however, travel to other company locations across London and the South East will be required.

The duties of the Energy Manager role will include:

-Developing and implementing comprehensive energy management strategies and policies and achieve ISO50001

-Preparing and presenting business case opportunities regarding energy saving/efficiency solutions e.g. heat recovery and renewable energy technologies

-Conducting regular energy audits and assessments across all facilities and recommending energy-saving measures based on audit findings

-Overseeing the implementation of energy-saving projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

-Ensuring compliance with all relevant energy legislation, standards, and certifications (e.g., ESOS, SECR)

-Analysing energy consumption data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement and preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations

-Developing and managing the energy management budget and tracking and reporting on financial performance related to energy use and savings

-Acting as a primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and addressing any compliance issues, ensuring a timely resolution

-Ensuring the accurate collection, verification and reporting of data related to the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) and working with third-party verifiers and auditors to validate ETS data, ensuring compliance with scheme requirements

-Preparing and participating in bidding processes for ETS allowances every five years

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for an ambitious, driven and proactive Energy Manager who has in-depth knowledge of UK environmental legislation and compliance requirements. You will have experience with ISO 50001 Environmental Management Systems and a degree in Energy Management, Environmental Management Science, Engineering or a related field. Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders is key. This role will involve travel to other FM Conway and customer locations, and therefore you must be able to drive and possess a full UK driving licence
