Responsibilities
- Support prospective customers to identify best commercial and technical fit of Tesla's battery systems by creating and defining the business case
- Collaborate closely with Senior Sales Engineers to complete the financial and preliminary site design for customers
- Work with the customer and sales team to negotiate technical contracts
- Understand regional energy markets and utilities, define, and disseminate functional requirements with internal business and engineering colleagues
- Cooperate with the sales team to evaluate new market segments and perform analysis of storage potential.
- Participate in on-going proceedings related to tariffs and market mechanisms to inform / update modelling processes.
- Evaluate integration context for battery systems and work with internal team members to make integration recommendations
- Maintain responsible control over preliminary design activities pertaining to the opportunity/ project, including engineering, quality control, and code compliance
Requirements
- 1+ year relevant technical work experience in consulting, sales engineering, or similarfields within the energy industry. Experience within the renewable energysector is a plus
- Knowledge of battery systems, power conversion and grid systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve to well-judged decisions
- Capability to communicate effectively and collaborate with internal- and externalstakeholders
- Able to review contracts and technical scopes of work
- Customer-focused and capable of breaking down complex engineering ideas for customers
- Affinity with the renewable energy sector and a passion to learn
- Fluency in English. German or Dutch language skills are considered a plus
