Job Summary:
  • Provide leadership in the definition, establishment and maintenance of effective and consistent processes, systems and tools supporting project management across Process Automation NAM Delivery, within the context of the Process Automation Global Project Management Office standard processes, practices, and tools (SGV and SAP)
  • Provide financial analysis of regional project portfolio performance via SGV identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and other concerns reporting to the Vice President, NAM Delivery
  • Manage and report to the Vice President, NAM Delivery, on NAM PMO KPIs performance vs target for GMI (gross margin improvement), change order attainment, absorption over/under recovery, PMI certification %, and others as defined by VP, NAM Delivery
  • Address specific project performance issues personally and lead Territory Delivery Director and PM through action planning, risk identification/mitigation, and follow up with specific emphasis on the major projects within the NAM region
  • Responsible for elevating the skills and competencies of the regional project management organization through participation in training curriculum definition, development, and deployment within the context of the Process Automation Global Project Management Office
  • Ensure the appropriate project management expertise and discipline is provided to, and developed within, the Regional Delivery operations via attendance of monthly project reviews. In addition, support the Vice President, NAM Delivery, in quarterly regional project reviews of the major project portfolio
  • Lead the development of effective internal relationships between territory delivery operations and the global PMO function
  • Lead the PMO efforts within the region and ensures compliance to the Process Automation Global Project Management Office best practices

Wh at will you do?
  • Responsible for ensuring the Territory Delivery Directors and Project Managers achieve financial objectives for the each project, with the main focus on revenue value growth, cash, and margin improvement. Drives compliance with SAP and SGV in project reviews.
  • Where needed, focus individual effort on developing winning, low cost, execution strategies for major projects supporting Sales as well as the local Delivery team
  • Working with Territory Delivery Directors, coaches and develops Project Managers within the NAM region to build their skills and competencies, and provides training curriculum to enable better project execution
  • Working with Territory Delivery Directors, coaches and develops Project Administrators within the NAM region to build their skills and competencies, and provides training curriculum to enable better project management practices
  • Supports the adherence to all global/regional processes and tools as defined by Global Delivery Process organization. Primary person in the NAM region charged with governance on project management practices, processes, and tools.
  • Articulates Project Management needs to VP NAM Delivery, including resource requirements, tools and processes, skill and capabilities gaps
  • Participates in monthly project reviews to ensure financial, schedule, and customer satisfaction targets are met
  • Provide financial analysis of regional project portfolio performance via SGV identifying and mitigating risks, issues, and other concerns reporting to the Vice President, NAM Delivery

Who will you report to? Tim Heckman - VP, PA Regional Delivery

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • 15+ years related professional experience, 7+ years management experience
  • BS or equivalent in engineering, MBA a plus
  • Strong expertise in major DCS and SIS projects, with multiple MAC engagements and related Process Automation offerings
  • Strong expertise with project management practices and tools
  • Strong business acumen and focused on driving client business results using relevant product and services offerings
  • Strong interpersonal skills and is a strategic, consultative thinker
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills, both written and oral
  • High level of energy and passion, a tolerance for last minute travel (up to 50%) and extra work hours as needed
  • Flexible attitude and excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan and execute a variety of tasks on a timely basis and as the situation requires
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and allocate resources so as to ensure achievement of revenue objectives
