Position: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Location: Henderson, TX

Pay: $25 - $35 per hour (based on experience)

Job Type: Full-Time for approximately 13 weeks with new projects possibly following

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team in Boca Raton, FL for an immediate project. The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation, particularly in hospital environments.

Responsibilities:

- Fabricate and install sheet metal products and equipment such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings
- Select appropriate type of sheet metal, such galvanized iron, copper, steel, aluminum
- Measure and mark dimensions and reference lines on metal sheets
- Cut, shape and form metal sheets using hand tools and machines
- Install assemblies, components, and HVAC systems according to specifications and building codes

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Proficient in using hand and power tools relevant to sheet metal work
- Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in sheet metal work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and work in various environments

Pay and Benefits:

Compensation for this position ranges from $25 to $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
