This position reports to
Manufacturing Unit Manager
Your role and responsibilities
• Serves as the primary HSE interface within their assigned area of responsibility and cultivates a high performance culture with a strong focus on HSE • Management and development of employees in occupational safety and related specialist areas such as sustainability and the company medical interface • Oversees and drives sustainability, health and safety activities in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50.001 14.001 and 45.001 and is accountable for the certification in audits • Oversees HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented • Ensures the HSE incidents are reported to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions • Drives behavioral change through the local implementation of and business-specific performance improvement programs and practices • Give guidance to the team to execute sustainability projects • Embeds an exemplary health and safety culture and a strong focus on the environment across their respective organization • Reports HSE performance and progress with respect to the implementation of the group-level HSE objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required

Qualifications for the role
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of HSE (more experience is welcomed)
- Experience in managing a cross functional team
- Master in Health, Environment, Safety and Sustainability or a related field
- Strong Process Improvement & Optimization skills
- Project management
- Knowledge of general Finance and budgeting processes
- Strong sense of safety, compliance and sustainability
- Fluency in German, good knowledge of English
- Beneficial: knowledge in electrotechnical requirements for organizations
