Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in the respective organization to ensure an exemplary health and safety culture as well as a strong focus on the environment. You will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge to offer solutions and advice. The role involves showcasing your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. The work model for the role is: hybrid This role is contributing to the Local Product Group/Cluster Enclosures/HUB Energy Distribution/ELSB in Sasbach. Key stakeholders include the management team and supervisors in operations. You will be mainly accountable for: • Supporting line managers and supervisors in the organization to understand obligations, liabilities, and requirements. • Ensuring appropriate tools and measures are in place and used effectively, while reporting the HSE incidents. • Reporting on HSE performance and progress with respect to the Group objectives. • Driving behavioral change and ensuring HSE capabilities are optimized and aligned to standards and best practices. • Overseeing and driving sustainability, health, and safety activities in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50.001, 14.001, and 45.001, and being accountable for the certification in audits. Qualifications for the role

• Degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field; alternatively, a qualification as a technician or master craftssperson.
• Further training as an occupational safety specialist.
• Experience in factory production/assembly and electrical installation in industrial settings and industrial projects.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) preferred.
• Experience in managing a cross-functional team.
• Advanced process improvement and optimization skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
