Your role and responsibilities

The CAD PLM R&D Processes Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the computer-aided design (CAD) and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems within the research and development (R&D) department. This role involves ensuring efficient workflow processes, integrating new technologies, and providing support for product development teams to achieve high-quality design and development outcomes. The work model for the role is hybrid. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power globally. You will be mainly accountable for: • Analyzing and streamlining R&D processes to enhance efficiency and productivity in CAD and PLM systems. • Establishing best practices for optimal use of CAD and PLM tools. • Adapting industry trends and advancements in CAD and PLM technologies and ensuring compatibility with current systems. • Offering technical support and developing training for R&D personnel on CAD and PLM systems. • Creating and maintaining documentation for CAD and PLM related process and procedures. • Driving continuous improvement and development activities for PLM processes and tools • Facilitating collaboration by engaging with various functions like product development, engineering and IT teams on PLM related topics. • Communicating effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related technical field; advanced CAD/PLM certifications desirable
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in managing mCAD/eCAD and PLM systems
• Proven experience in R&D processes within a product development or manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of PLM systems (e.g. PTC Windchill)
• Exceptional analytical abilities and proficient in troubleshooting complex issues
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working cohesively with diverse teams and stakeholders
