About the job:

Working in the PMC Project Management Team for a portfolio of Energy Transition Projects to be based in Vienna, Austria.

The Contracts and Procurement Lead manages and supports Contracts and Procurement personnel and their associated activities to execute the work in a manner that achieves the objectives of the Project Execution Strategy, Contracts and Subcontracts Execution Plan and the Project Procurement and Materials Plan.

Skills & Responsibilities:

• Champion the Project Safety culture, through behaviours and engagement activities.

• Complies with Company policies and objectives, Contracts and Procurement work processes.

• Creates and implements a Project Procurement and Materials Plan to support the Project Execution Plan.

• Prepares and maintains the Project approved Vendors List.

• Ensures Contracts and Procurement documents and data are maintained in accordance with the Project records retention and OMV handover requirements.

• Conducts Project Contracts and Procurement Review meetings to review status and provide guidance to Contracts and Procurement functions.

• Provides Contracts and Procurement status reports to Project Management, as required.

• Ensures Contractor, Subcontractor, Vendor and Supplier Performance Evaluations are carried out.

• Prepares the Contracts and Subcontracts Execution Plan in support of the Project Execution Plan and develops a set of Project specific Contracts and Subcontracts Administration Procedures.

• Review Contracts with OMV Legal function to determine insurances, liens, taxes, bonding, consequential damages and Confidentiality Agreements and formulate specific Contract conditions.

• Assess the commercial risk profile for the Project and develop a commercial Contracting and Subcontracting strategy that mitigates risks to OMV during Project execution.

• Review the "As Bid" work hour estimates against the Project scope of work.

• Secure Contractor and Subcontractor insurance certificates, bonds and guarantees and other post award compliance documents.

• Administer Contracts and Subcontracts, maintaining all requisite Contract records.

• Coordinate regular meetings with FEED/EPC Contractor(s) and Subcontractors to review items such as HSSE, Project progress, Quality, Project Coordination and any areas of concern.

• Coordinate communication between Contractors, Subcontractors, the PMT and OMV.

• Verify progress completion has been checked and approved by the Project, review invoices for commercial compliance with the Contract and route to the PMT for approval and payment.

In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization. The intent of this provision is to allow for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization, ensuring that operational requirements can be met efficiently. All such tasks will be assigned considering the employee's current workload and with respect to their professional development.

Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:

• Relevant experience in Project Management activities, Project Contract Administration, Procurement, Communication and Contracting writing skills including sufficient related Contract activities for large petrochemical or heavy technology industries.

• Excellent knowledge of various contracting types and strategies related to Project execution, and knowledge of claims causes and preventive actions.

• Able to work within a defined role with limited supervision.

• Able to make decisions and solve problems related to a specific discipline/field.

• Responsible for own work product with minimal guidance and oversight from immediate supervisor

• Establishes credibility with peers and supervisors and makes good use of their time.

• Exercises judgment in making decisions; knows when to seek advice.

Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:

• Demonstrated experience in working in an Oil and Gas or Energy Company in Contracts and Procurement management role.

• Thorough understanding of Project Management and Contracts and Procurement concepts including: - familiarity with various types of Oil and Gas, and Energy Sectors Contracting models.

• Knowledgeable of Supply Chain Management and Project drivers.

• Ability to develop positive relationships with a diverse range of disciplines in a FEED/EPCM Project Execution setting.

• Strong work ethic, ability to prioritize competing tasks.

Communication:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Professional communication skills -Able to communicate with peers, customers, and vendors.
