We are looking for a brilliant CAD Designer to join our team in London Global Project Centre office on permanent basis.

What will you be doing?
  • Prepare design/fabrication drawings of steel structures and piping using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD software.
  • Prepare offshore operations method drawings.
  • Prepare pipeline related drawings e.g. field layouts, alignment sheets, approach drawings, and crossings.
  • Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for designs and drawings and to develop clash free designs.
  • Assist in the identification of technical problems and contribute with possible solutions.
  • Conduct self-check on drawing/sketches.
  • Prepare drawings and sketches consistent with good engineering practice and in compliance with company drawing office procedures.
  • Provide feedback and input to improve departmental standards, working methods and guidelines.
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities to ensure continuing professional development.

Essential Experience, Skills And Knowledge
  • A minimum of HNC (Level 4) qualification in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experienced in the use of Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Experience in the use of Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks.
  • Experience in design/drafting of steel structures from concept to fabrication/as-built.
  • Prioritise, organise and deliver work to deadlines set by management.
  • Can effectively work as a team member across multiple projects.
  • Have a willingness to learn and develop new skill sets.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and deliver work to deadlines set by management.
  • Sound communication skills in English, both verbally and written.

Desirable Experience, Skills And Knowledge
  • Experience in design/drafting of subsea steel structures including piping.
  • Experience working with offshore field layouts, approach drawings, alignment sheets and general subsea field development.
  • Experience working on offshore installation operations method drawings (deck layouts, rigging drawings, installation storyboards).
  • Experience with Autodesk Vault for data (drawings/models) management.
  • Experience in the use of Autodesk Civil3D.
  • Good working knowledge of other non-technical software e.g. MS Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
