Technical Expert for Site Activities

As part of the Schneider Electric REgional Platform (REP) Bratislava, the Technical Leader Digital Power supports Tender teams by submitting and reviewing technical and organisational proposals of Cat A & B projects.

He/She prepares full package for Installation & Commisioning Site Activities (Costing, Planning, set-up, method statement, risk assement etc..) as technical support for tender of OPEX projects.

Location & commitments:
  • Slovakia, Romania, Croatia, Serbia or your home country within EU
  • Candidates are welcome from: Europe (EU passport holders)
  • Possibility to work remotely
  • International travel (20%) within Europe (EU Zone)


Main responsibilities:
  • Assess customer needs in order to identify opportunities for developing service offer
  • At tendering stage, based on technical documents prepared by Tender Team (Bill of Material, Diagrams, layouts, Schedule of delivery, Customer planning if any, etc..) prepare detailled planning of site activities, org chart, definition of required staff (qty and skills), need of tools (identification and budget)
  • Drafting of subcontractor consultation files. In coordination with the Technical leader and Purchaser, analysis of the subcontractors' offers and participation in the assesment process.
  • In close coordination with the Tender Technical Leader, propose technical solution for optimising our site activity offers during:
    • Installation phase: cost, duration, advise & requirement for civil engineering activities, cable assembly etc.
    • Commissioning test phase , imagine and define the testing process of a full project. (FAT / i-FAT/ SAT)
  • Analysis or preparation of method statement related to installation of internal & external supplies
  • Participation in the risk analysis in the tender phase, in particular on the risks and opportunities related to our activities on site, and propose risk mitigation actions
  • Participate in technical reviews (from the basic design phase)
  • Ensure remote technical assistance to our internal and external SR teams, before and during their mission on site, as well as to other members of the project team (TL, DL, PM) for matters related to installation and commissioning
  • On request, consultation of the applicable standards concerning the assembly and testing activities of our supplies
  • Communication:
    • Attends meetings with customer dedicated to organisation & follow-up of on-site activities (HSE topics, co-activity, detailled planning for commisioning, interface with other parties for scope of supply or service etc..)
    • Assist our service teams in developing their technical skills in relation to our offerings and propose innovative, high-performance tools for carrying out Installation & Commisioning activities
  • Return of experience:
    • participate to REX / Lessons Learned file for the installation & commisioning parts and share outcomes with the Site works team
    • benchmark various customer experience and build improvement plans with concrete follow-up effects and a measurable impact (short- and long-term)
  • Gathering and communicating needs (quality, performance, functionality) in terms of developing products, solutions, services in coordination with the departments concerned
  • Drive internal and external technical communication in the field of commissioning of electrical distribution solution (customer presentations,workshop, kick-off meeting etc..). Ensures that the knowledge of the teams is capitalised on, so that know-how and good practice can be shared and implemented

Requirements

Education:
  • Electrical technician with minimul Bachelor degree

Language:
  • English (C1 level mandatory with good communication skills)

Experien ce:
  • Ten (10) years of experience, including at least five (5) years in on-site electromechanical testing
  • Knowledge of all types of MV/LV equipments, Data Center Application, Electrical networks
  • Knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage electric network
  • Knowledge of distribution protections systems, SCADAs & control systems is a plus
  • Standard office software: Word, Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD; SAP / Primavera basic knowledge is advantage
  • Ability to understand customers' needs and propose the most appropriate consultancy/expertise offering Ability to produce quality results in a short space of time with tight deadlines
  • Ability to structure a process of analysis and to describe the technical complexity in a simple way, so as to be able to adapt to the people you are dealing with
