Position overview:

The Vice President of Demand Generation will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive demand generation strategy that fuels revenue growth and furthers our mission of improving early childhood education around the world. The VP will direct digital marketing strategy, campaign execution, marketing automation, operations, and analytics.

Working closely with the leadership team, the VP will play a critical role in helping the company achieve aggressive revenue and growth goals. The Demand Generation team will be responsible for driving awareness and procuring leads for net new customers and growing our installed base through innovative multi-channel campaigns.

This role requires a deep understanding of the B2B marketing landscape, demand generation best practices, and marketing technologies. The ideal candidate will be analytical and data-driven in their decision-making, and a skilled and versatile leader with the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on, team-based execution. A proven track record of leading successful demand generation teams with a focus on measurable ROI is required.

Specific roles and responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes a holistic demand generation strategy to generate awareness and drive qualified leads and revenue growth across channels, including email marketing, social, SEO, paid advertising, website and more.
  • Leads and mentors a high-performing demand generation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Utilizes data and analytics to measure and optimize the performance of demand generation campaigns, ensuring maximum ROI.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including product marketing, creative, sales, product management, and partner success to ensure cohesive and effective marketing campaign execution.
  • Collaborates with the Sales team to ensure alignment on target ABM accounts, lead qualification criteria, seamless handoff and effective follow-up on leads, sales funnel tracking methodology, pipeline development and reporting.
  • Oversees the development and execution of Account-Based Marketing (ABM) strategies to target high-value accounts in key sectors.
  • Manages performance of Teaching Strategies' website through ongoing research and testing, continuous improvement, and optimization of pages for SEO and lead conversion.
  • Manages the marketing technology stack, including marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and other tools to streamline, enhance, and measure ROI for demand generation efforts.
  • Conducts ongoing research regarding industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously innovate and improve demand generation strategies.
  • Oversees relationships with digital marketing agency, website development agency, and additional contractor(s) leveraging the expertise and experience of these external resources to supplement team staff.
  • Provides regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on the performance of demand generation efforts and their impact on revenue growth.
  • Occasional domestic travel

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on demand generation and revenue growth.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation strategies that drive demonstrable ROI.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making and optimization.
  • Advanced expertise in digital marketing, marketing automation, lead conversion, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Collaborative leadership style with experience driving alignment across marketing and sales teams on campaign planning, execution, and KPIs
  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and other relevant marketing technologies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization including C-level executives.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving and exceeding targets.
