Your role and responsibilities

One of the reasons for ABB's success is the rigor and forward-thinking approach of the Finance function. As a Collections and Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be a key member of the Accounts Receivable team within the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu office. Reporting to the Controller, you will support the business, collect outstanding amounts, resolve issues related to collections, and assess credit risks and credit limits within an assigned portfolio of accounts. This role contributes to ABB's Electrification, Installation Products division and is based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. The work model is hybrid, with 2 to 3 days per week in the office (Monday to Friday, daytime hours). Responsibilities: • Make collection calls for overdue balances. • Reconcile accounts as needed. • Assess and review credit limits within an established threshold. • Generate and analyze reports as needed. • Recommend and develop procedures to improve and standardize processes. • Collaborate with stakeholders from different countries and organizations.

Qualifications for the role

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in credit and collections.
  • Bilingual in French and English (English is necessary to communicate with clients outside of Quebec).
  • CPP certification is an asset or in progress.
  • College diploma in finance or accounting.
  • Good understanding of accounts receivable processes (order to cash) and accounting processes.
