Your role and responsibilities

"Quality is a mindset not a department" This role contributes to the new manufacturing site in Evergem, which produces power distribution enclosures. These enclosures serve as protective housings for electrical distribution components such as circuit breakers, fuses, switches, and meters, ensuring the safe distribution, metering, and control of electricity throughout residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. As a junior quality engineer, you will ensure the high quality of products and services delivered from Evergem. You will be primarily active on the work floor, fully engaged in quality aspects. Your drive is to instill a perception of quality in others. In this role, you will furthermore support the deployment of the quality strategy for the local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and competent teams, aiming to exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance. Other tasks in this role include: • Supporting specific communication relevant to quality aspects in your area of responsibility. • Continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization. • Using quality data analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances. • Facilitating the resolution of customer cases by following robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions. • Incoming goods inspections according to specifications, interpretation of technical drawing. • Quality checks in production The work model for this role is: onsite (LinkedIn#onsite)

Qualifications for the role

• A proven technical background in mechanical engineering or in the electrical field.
• Some experience in a quality-related role is a plus.
• Experience in a production environment is a plus.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach
• Strong written and spoken communication skills at different levels in the organization
• Communicate both on work floor level as well as on management level.
• A flexible attitude, open to changes and improvements.
• You take initiative and dare to think outside the box.
• A team player who is eager to learn, sets the right priorities with a pragmatic approach.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
