Professional | Full-Time | Field Operations

• Day to day technical support to Service Operations (troubleshooting).

• Customer interface for technical issues (questions and problems) related to Service Business.

• Engineering support on locally developed solutions for the existing fleet.

• Coordinate changes on the existing fleet by providing input in centralized processes (CIM, ECR, projects).

• Ensure deployment of technical solutions to sites.

• Ensure correct main component selection on sites.

• Platform improvements to reduce LPF.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to conduct evaluation and in-depth analysis of underperforming main components and provide recovery plans

• Act as a liaison between Service Vestas and R&D department Vestas wind system A/S to improve turbine performance

• Technical support on troubleshooting of main components and general components

• Ability to coordinate and conduct post-mortem on damaged decommissioned components

• Create method of procedures, guides to aid Field Services in inspection of the wind turbine and main component review

• Review work instructions, external inspection reports, perform project site observations with minimum assistance, turbine performance control in LATAM fleet

• Act as a liaison between field personnel, vendors, customers, and Continuous Improvement Management\R&D

• Ability to provide support to the legal department in electrical main components technical issues

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications.

• Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external customers

• Projects and follow-up to improve platform performance and reduction of LPF.

Qualifications:

• Engineer's degree in electrical engineering or similar.

• Experience (3yrs +) in electrical systems evaluation, generators, medium voltage transformer and switchgears. Wind turbine related experience is desired.

• Experience with generator, transformer and switchgear deployment and control evaluation.

• Intermediate English language written and spoken.

Competencies:

• High technical skills with emphasis in problem solving and root cause failure analysis.

• Proactivity, able to balance responsibilities and prioritize daily work under a fast-paced environment.

• Practical approach, accurate and solid attention to detail.

• Excellent capacities to work as a part of a team.

• High learning capacities and adaptability to new technologies.

• Good computer and engineering tools literacy.

• Organized and process-motivated, with the ability to suggest and promote improvements

• Solid IT skills, proficient in equipment software as well as normal applications like MS Outlook, Excel, Word

• Availability to travel to windfarms and Latin American countries (5%-10% total time).
