About The Role:
  • Preparation and execution of Process deliverables documents (PFD, PID, MSD,) from marked-up provided by Discipline Engineers.
  • Responsible for the preparation/follow-up of the Inter discipline Checks / archiving of the drawings
  • Associates degree/diploma or related course work in computer-aided design which is sufficient to design & modify electronic drawings / P&IDs.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access & Visio is desirable.
  • Able to read, understand & generate process drawings (Block Flow, PFD's, P&ID's), plot plan, piping & equipment General Arrangement drawings & piping isometrics.
  • Responsible for the layout and production of all forms of Process drawings from conceptual design forward to IFC.
  • Good general knowledge of drafting practices.
  • Be familiar with two or more of the following intelligent drafting software programs (AutoCAD, SmartPlant P&ID, Smart sketch , Aveva Diagrams and Microstation).
  • Should have a good general understanding of process systems within Processing Plants & ability to understand and follow work instructions.
  • Required to produce drawings from Process Engineer or Process Design sketches.
  • Able to gather data and interface with a variety of sources and disciplines to produce an efficient design or modify design.
  • Ensuring Drawing Folder / File Management & Maintaining CAD Library of standard components.
  • Required to perform as-built of P&IDs through site visit and update drawings from marked-up Master drawings.
  • Able to mark-up project drawings by hand using approved project practices and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle stress
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Educational qualification
  • Diploma or Degree in chemical Engineering
  • 10-15 years experience P&ID drafting & producing overall plant layouts.

Reporting line:

  • Reporting hierarchically and operationally to the Head of Process Department.
