About the role

We are looking to add an HVAC Technician to our growing Maintenance Department. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems within the facility. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance of all HVAC units. The technician will work closely with the facility maintenance team to ensure a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for all occupants. This position requires a strong understanding of HVAC systems, technical expertise, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This on-site position will directly support our Maintenance operations at our Corsicana, TX facility.

Essential Functions

• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air handlers, boilers, chillers, pumps, and control systems.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Diagnose and resolve HVAC issues using appropriate tools and methods.
• Monitor HVAC performance and recommend improvements or upgrades to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with other maintenance team members on broader facility operations and emergency repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all work activities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Support team goals and assisting colleagues.

• Knowledge of Hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers).
• Knowledge of Power tools (drills, saws).

• Building System knowledge: HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety systems, building automation systems.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC certification or relevant trade school training.
• Prior facilities maintenance experience or relevant operation experience is preferred.
• Proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems related to HVAC.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
