Microbiologist
ABOUT YOU
As Microbiologist, you will be lab based. The role includes microbiology testing, supporting in the laboratory on outsourcing projects, comprehension use of database systems, administrative procedures, and has a high commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement. Please note, the shift pattern for this role is Wednesday to Saturday 12.00-22.00

In addition, you will engage in a wide range of laboratory and administrative activities to ensure efficient and effective technical support is provided.

- Relevant experience in a laboratory setting and/or a degree in a relevant scientific field
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
You will manage the preparation, testing, reporting and outgoing of samples for sorting, filing and management of both electronic and hard copy documents. In addition, you will engage in a wide range of laboratory and administrative activities to ensure efficient and effective technical support is provided.
Key activities:
- Will report to the laboratory supervisor
- Will be experienced and have the ability to perform advanced skills such as sub culturing, reading, routine quality support in the main lab, including weekly controls and trouble shooting.
- Ensure all daily checks and calibrations are performed
- Provide training as requested by supervisors
- Provide assistance in investigations and calibrations as required
- Provide feedback/reports to management as required
