This position reports to

CoE - Leader for Certification engineering and Standardization

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the certification and approval process for new LV Breaker products and also maintain the validity for them, ensuring compliance with relevant international and national standards. You will work as a part of the global team for Certification Engineering and Standardization in Smart Power. You will be mainly accountable for: • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather necessary documentation and evidence for certification submissions • Being informed about specific certification requirements in target markets and ensuring products meet those standards • Working closely with regulatory bodies and certification agencies to obtain approvals for market entry • Managing the renewal process for existing certificates, proactively addressing any changes in standards or regulations • Staying up-to-date with industry standards and assess the impact of new standards on existing products. Actively participating as a representative in standard committees such as IEC • Living ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

Qualifications for the role

• Degree of Electrical Engineering or similar
• You have proven experience in product certification, preferably in the field of electrical components or similar industry.
• You possess in-depth knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and certification processes
• You own membership or are willing to participate in industry-standard committees such as IEC
• You have strong task management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• You are at ease communicating in English
• No obstacles for travelling
• Strong awareness of Health, Safety and Security rules
