The Mercedes-Benz Group's ambition is for the entire Mercedes-Bent new vehicle fleet to be carbon-neutral across all stages of the value chain and the entire life cycle by 2039
Our own Mercedes-Benz passenger car and van plants have been producing CO₂-neutral worldwide since 2022. This includes more than 30 car and van plants. An important part of this is battery production, which has also been CO₂-neutral worldwide since 2022
We in the SC/SIG division are responsible for the energy supply and energy management of the global production and development sites. We attach great importance to our ecological and social responsibility and our commitment to sustainable action
Our team plays a central role in the design of sustainable and innovative projects - from green electricity supply with Power Purchase Agreements, on-site PV systems or our own wind farm - to battery storage - to the decarbonization of heat supply

These are some of the challenges you will face:
  • Collaboration in cross-departmental and interdisciplinary projects as well as work packages for the further development of the energy supply strategy (e.g. green electricity supply, battery storage, decarbonization of heat supply)
  • Participation in the further development of strategy and implementation of measures to achieve CO2 targets
  • Analysis and optimization of storage solutions
  • Conducting research on current developments and trends in the energy market & regulatory developments
  • Support in the preparation of market analyses & energy price forecasts
  • Support in assessing the impact of energy policy decisions
  • Support in the preparation and coordination of decision papers
Qualifikationen
  • Degree in renewable energies, industrial engineering (with a focus on energy supply), electrical engineering, energy management or a comparable course of study
  • Strong interest in energy markets, energy policy and sustainability
  • Analytical mindset and strategic way of working
  • Confident handling of MS Office, especially Excel & PowerPoint; VBA or Python knowledge is an advantage
  • Experience in creating presentations including visualization of complex contexts
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident written and spoken German and English skills
