CMBlu started in 2011 as a research-driven project with the goal of storing electrical energy in arbitrarily large quantities in an environmentally friendly, sustainable and cost-effective way. Since then, we have continuously expanded our broad IP portfolio and expertise in large-scale energy storage.

Today, we are one of the leading organic flow battery companies headquartered in Alzenau, 30 km from Frankfurt Airport. With our groundbreaking technology, we will drive the energy transition, together with our partners, customers and most importantly: with our employees!

We are a highly motivated, committed and fast growing team of over 180 employees. We are now preparing for the market launch of our products and further professionalizing our organization.

Your Responsibilities:

• Apply and further develop existing methods for material characterization and design experimental series
• Perform comprehensive electrochemical characterization of active materials and their interactions
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary internal development projects
• Contribute to the optimization of our concept batteries and work on advancing our energy storage concepts
• Participate in conceptual work for the next product generation
• Manage external research projects
• Prepare reports and ensure complete, consistent, and thorough documentation of experiments and results

Your Profile:

• Successfully completed studies in chemistry, physics, or a comparable scientific/technical field, ideally with a PhD, or at least 3 years of professional experience in electrochemistry, electroanalytics, or battery development
• Relevant knowledge of electrochemistry
• Advanced knowledge of "classic" DC analysis methods
• Experience in battery development/battery cycling is desirable
• Experience with statistical methods is an advantage
• High level of commitment and reliability, as well as a strong willingness to work in a team
• Excellent proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken, completes your profile
