Job Title: Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location - Leeds, United Kingdom

Mission:

• Identify day-to-day non-quality factors, conduct, or have other departments conduct in-depth analyses and monitor quality improvement plans at suppliers.
• Identify potential issues before they occur and implement preventive solutions.
• Lead quality issue resolution through containment, correction and prevention steps and check effectiveness of suppliers' actions.
• Conduct process audits at suppliers and launch improvement action plans to help them develop their quality performance.

Key responsibilities:
• Drive supplier quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and implement supplier quality strategies and processes.
• Analyse supplier quality data to identify trends and drive proactive quality improvements.
• Support with supplier approval process.
• Oversee Supplier Quality Engineer and Quality Inspection team, provide guidance where necessary on company standards.

Skills and attributes:
• Extensive experience in supplier quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of driving supplier quality improvements and implementing best practices.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems and tools such as APQP, PPAP, and FMEA
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to drive quality enhancements.
• Effective leadership and communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Education
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
• Certification in quality management (e.g. PAP, 8D, Six Sigma) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of supplier quality processes and methodologies

Desirable:
• Master's degree in engineering or business administration.
