About the role:

Reporting to the HSSE Manager, the HSSE Advisor will support the Kent team with coordinating, and implementation of the Company HSSE Management program. Provide support in the field to Project and Operation teams in all aspects of safety, occupational health, and environmental issues. Monitoring Company & Project objectives and targets to ensure the objectives are fully implemented and met at Company locations. The HSSE Advisor will be a hands-on support to resolve any HSSE matters. The position will identify opportunities for HSSE improvement, and monitor the status of HSSE program implementation.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure full implementation and compliance with the HSSE plan and communicate it effectively to the team.
  • Keep all HSSE policies, legal requirements, and updates visible and accessible to staff.
  • Attend HSSE meetings and provide guidance on risk management, hazard identification, and reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with the permit-to-work system and the waste management plan on-site.
  • Ensure emergency response plans are in place and actively participate in drills.
  • Conduct HSSE inspections and report findings, ensuring defects are identified and addressed.
  • Verify that employees have the required certifications and training for their roles.
  • Report incidents promptly and support investigations to implement corrective actions.
  • Advise on the proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
  • Oversee safe chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
  • Ensure effective toolbox talks and monitor subcontractor compliance with HSSE regulations.
  • Stop unsafe work when necessary and report it appropriately.
  • Seek continuous improvement in HSSE practices and personal professional development.


About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • NVQ or NFQ Level 3 Qualification, IOSH, OSHA 30, or Cert IV WHS (Diploma preferred)
  • Incident Investigation Certification (ICAM, Taproot, or equivalent)
  • Strong construction experience.
  • Strong field experience in hands-on risk management.
  • Ability to effectively communicate HSSE matters with site management.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with strong investigation skills.
