Your role and responsibilities
Marketing Specialist Events and Exhibitions responsible for developing and executing local marcom plans for the Canadian market of the assigned business line's product groups, segments and solutions, that are aligned with business goals, industry Products goals and overall strategy of ABB Electrification; as well as segments like Rail & Transportation, F&B, Commercial Buildings etc.. The person in this position will serve as a trusted colleague and partner to the relevant industry Products leads, local Business Line management team and Product Market Managers ,. The main responsibilities will be to plan, execute, and ensure a successful events and exhibitions participations from identification stage to closure: • Develop and execute local Smart Power and Smart Buildings Products with the team marcom strategy and activities that aligns with Industry Products and business line goals and broad ABB strategy. • Collaborates with management to define the event strategy aligning with the communications team on messaging, content, operations, activation, and tracking for both external and internal events. • Plan and manage timelines, event resources/agencies, suppliers, and budget per an event. • Ensure lead collection onsite and plan follow up with stakeholders. • Analyze the effectiveness of our event initiatives, collect, and provide timely evaluations of various event activities, and make recommendations to optimize our end-to-end event experience. • Work with communications and the automation manager to ensure that proper tracking and post-show nurture campaigns are in place Responsible for event governance, suppliers and tools (briefs, etc.). • Work with Country Communicators to ensure local business communication plans and campaigns are aligned with the global marketing communications strategies, plans and campaigns. • Develop and manage effective, timely and relevant internal communications for sales channels. • Ensure message (e.g. value propositions) and branding compliance and consistency.

Qualifications for the role
- University degree.
- More than 5 years of industry experience in relevant marketing communication positions, including industry experience and project management.
- Appreciation for working in international environments (strong intercultural skills).
- Excellent copywriting and editing skills, able to simplify complex technical contents into appealing marketing messages and contents.
- Bilingual French and English. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
- Proven results in managing B2B events
- Strong strategic mindset and sees how to leverage these investments
- Able to work with the PMM and PMS to deliver great trainings and in-house events to our customers.
- Strong collaboration skills and team spirit.
- Market data collection skills.
- Professional presence with sales and suppliers and external partner.
