Company Overview

At GBU Renewables, we are committed to accelerating the development of renewable energy assets. Our diverse team of over 4,000 employees represents more than 50 nationalities across 20 countries. We manage a portfolio of assets including Solar (ca. 8 GW), Wind (ca. 16 GW), Hydro (ca. 18 GW), and Battery Storage (<1 GW) assets, across 4 Operational Areas. Our ambition is to operate 80 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.

What You Can Expect

As the Head of Global Hypervision, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for real-time monitoring of our renewable fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, hydro, and battery storage assets from the Global Hypervision Center. Your role will ensure early detection and follow-up of critical and high-risk assets in our portfolio based on internal (e.g., technical) parameters and external (e.g., weather or market price) factors. This role is not just about managing but about inspiring and leading a team that is at the heart of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of supervisors operating in two shifts (TBC) to ensure minimum daytime coverage of our worldwide activities.
  • Define processes and procedures for daily monitoring duties, consult operations logs, reports, and dedicated analytical platforms.
  • Prepare business warnings and alerts for regional, local, and central teams.
  • Create and manage daily to monthly operational performance reporting.
  • Ensure the reliable performance of ENGIE renewable assets through continual communication with Operational Area's performance monitoring centers/teams and transversal support teams in different countries, cultures, and languages.
  • Facilitate data deep dives with multi-disciplinary teams, enabling access to datasets and tools for detailed troubleshooting, problem identification, solving, and validation.
  • Test and validate AI and machine learning methodologies on global datasets, acting as a catalyst for implementation and industrialization at regional and local levels.
  • Assist in developing or revising tools, processes, or procedures to enhance ENGIE asset/business performance and the effectiveness of the Global Hypervision Center.
