This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment. The work model for the role is: remote This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings, Smart Power and Distribution Solution divisions in the US. You will be mainly accountable for: • Identifying the main account targets in the US and ensure that those major accounts in the segment are prioritized. • Leads the development of sales strategies for named accounts by providing the customer's current business and long-term plans, including the coordination of national strategies. • Defines and proposes sales targets and growth margins for the segment. • Leads the development and implementation of a semiconductor segment account plan. Designs the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing opportunities and identifying a target for each solution element. Proposes recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Industrial Distribution with minimum of 10 years related experience. MBA or business preferred in addition.
  • Experience leading or participating in capture teams selling. Able to lead and direct front end and back-end capture team members to drive anticipated outcomes.
  • Direct sales experience in the electrical industry, experience selling solutions to the semiconductor market is a plus.
  • Ability to travel 50% and work extended hours on occasion when required, which might include weekends.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
