You will be part of the Product Team responsible for the Developer Experience. We develop and deliver strategies, roadmaps, and build platforms in our product structure through a business-oriented approach to ensure that we can accelerate our internal developers.

As a member of our Product Team, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact for Vestas' Developers, improving their digital experience.

In the Developer Experience Product Team, we strive to enable Vestas' Software Development Teams to focus on their core Development while we maintain and evolve the Development Platform to an Enterprise grade delivery across the full value chain. Vestas Digital Technology Solutions is fully Hybrid, working with Azure Cloud and Enterprise On-Premises data center solutions.

You will be working implementing some of the first End-To-End deliveries covering all the steps of the typical developer lifecycle, from planning to coding to deployment and second day operations.

Responsibilities

In your position as a Site Reliability Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to:
  • Automate and streamline our platform so we reduce the load of "traditional" operations type of work
  • Implement and integrate with various developer tools
  • CI/CD orchestration, enabling Vestas Product teams towards their deliveries (e.g. automatically build commits, run tests, deploy to environments)
  • Offer and continuously optimize a platform which supports service orchestration towards other products in Vestas
  • Provide feedback regarding development and/or engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices
  • Maintain and spread the DevOps culture and ways of working across Vestas


Qualifications

Working in our Product Team requires a solid technical understanding of the cloud. However, a good understanding of on-premises data center technologies is also beneficial as many cloud workloads are and will continue to be hybrid in nature and integrate with on-premises solutions.

You have:
  • 3- 5 years of experience in similar role or operating experience in Cloud Services, preferably in a DevOps team
  • Comfortable with a range of programming languages and technologies (e.g. Terraform, Phyton, PowerShell, Golang)
  • Solid experience working within at least one of the main cloud service providers (e.g. Azure and/or AWS)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies & demonstrated DevOps skills
  • Experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe is good to have
  • Coding/scripting knowledge for automation of infrastructure provisioning
