Regional Partner Business Director - Europe

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specified market to improve ABB's market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations. Each day, you will plan and ensure the execution of the division sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the related Channel Sales organization. The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-Hybrid #LI-Remote #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the PAEN Indirect Sales in Germany. Main stakeholders are Channel Partners such as System Integrators, Distributors, Value Added Reps, Panel Builders, and Installers. You will be mainly accountable for: • Implementing the specified and agreed channel sales strategy, in accordance with the marketing and sales strategy and ensuring regular follow-up to achieve them. • Implementing annual performance assessments and forecast processes for channel partners, to deliver order volumes and profitability targets. • Ensuring appropriate communication, promotion, and training activities are in place for our channel partners. • Designing the policies and relevant standards (e.g., market segmentation, customer due diligence, cybersecurity) to be used globally for channel partner evaluation and certification. • You will join a dynamic, highly motivated team, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the role

  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent area of study or experience); MBA is a plus; alternative areas of study can be offset by practical experience.
  • 10+ years sales management experience in Industrial Automation. Experience in managing channels is highly preferable.
  • Advanced problem-solving and management skills.
  • Fluency in German and English.
  • Personal leadership with high accountability, results orientation, and ability to work in indirect and virtual teams.
  • Team player with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in working with all levels of customers, including executives, management, and engineers.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
  • You are skilled in working with Salesforce, SAP, MS Office, and the Chemical / Pharma / Food & Beverage Market.
  • Established skills in indirect sales / sales.
