Summary
The Workforce Lead Coordinator/Instructor is primarily responsible for implementing and supporting workforce programs at ICC, including collaborating with internal and external stakeholders that create, sponsor, and administer programs focusing on increasing the total number of participants from minoritized populations and preparing them for high-demand careers. This is a customer-facing position that will develop and deliver readiness programs using an innovative competency-based learning curriculum to enhance employability skills, recruit for and coordinate these programs and services, and provide case management for participants to ensure their success. The Lead Coordinator/Instructor will ensure participants are fully prepared to transition to additional ICC programs and/or employment at local high-demand jobs.
This is a grant funded position through the FEJA Solar and Workforce Equity Initiative. The expected end date of the grant is September 30, 2025 with the possibility of extension if additional funding is awarded.

- Implement grant-sponsored programs aimed at increasing employment skills among unemployed, underemployed, and economically disadvantaged populations to prepare participants for local high-demand jobs.
- Instruct workforce program curricula, which may include lecture and lab-based classes, reading and math, social and emotional learning, financial and digital literacy, and essential employability skills.
- Serve as lead instructor for non-credit workforce programs by monitoring learning environments, conducting regular assessments, and evaluating program services.
- Coordinate end-to-end processes that implement workforce programs, including customer-facing activities supporting recruitment, placement, retention, and case management for workforce participants.
- Collaborate with workforce instructors, staff, and leadership to continuously improve and adapt the participant experience to meet the needs of the student, community, institution, and funder.
- Maintain internal and external partnerships in support of program and institution outcomes.
- Gather, maintain, and analyze data necessary to achieve grant outcomes.
- Participate in the development of departmental goals and strategic plans that support the institutional vision while addressing gaps in workforce skills.
- Provide strategic consultation on workforce programs.
- Perform related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience working in adult education, employment, social work, or training.
- Experience working with underrepresented populations, dislocated workers, or other workforce programs.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, one or more of the following: Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Information Technology, Construction, and/or Health Careers.
- Experience working with multiple technological platforms and systems.
