Internship Title - Power System Dynamics Analysis and Data Management
Department - Transmission Services, Resource Integration
Minimum Education level: Senior
Preferred Majors: Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering
Department Description:
The role of the Transmission Services department is to support the integration of resources onto the ISO-NE system, manage generator modeling dynamic data, and perform analysis to support standard development and procedural compliance
What will you be working on:
In this internship, the intern will support the integration of generating resources onto the grid, Assess generator stability modeling and dynamic data changes, and perform supporting power system analysis related to standards and procedural compliance.
The intern will learn the process that it takes to interconnect a new generator to the grid. They will Gain experience in using power system analysis software, automation programming, and assessment methodologies to assess generator and power system performance. Additionally, the intern will develop an understanding of the new technologies being incorporated into the grid for the Clean Energy Transition.
What we look for in a candidate:
Experience with python or other similar scripting language
Experience with power systems analysis and modeling
Ability to learn tools with some guidance and
Ability to make educated decisions and recommendations on course of action necessary to complete assignments.

To be eligible for the internship candidate must have completed at least the first year of college and be currently enrolled in a four year or graduate-level academic program. Candidates must have the authority to work in the US on a permanent basis, without requiring sponsorship.
