Description

Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest 100% physician-owned and managed practices in the country. Our team includes 215 radiologists, 44 advanced practice providers, and more than 200 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We are committed to remaining independent and providing the highest level of care to our patients. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion.

What we do: We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan. ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to West Michigan's largest Level I trauma center and research hospital, Corewell Health. American College of Radiology has designated Corewell a Diagnostic Center for Excellence

What we are looking for: We are seeking candidates for a full-time, partnership track Radiologist position. The successful candidate will dedicate a significant percentage of clinical time to Nuclear Imaging and work a combination of on site and remote shifts. The remainder of the time will be determined based on preference but may include cross sectional, ER or general imaging shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Interpretation of PET/CT

• Diagnostic nuclear medicine

• Supervise therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures

• General radiology and cross-sectional body imaging

Why is our practice unique? We strive to offer the best of both worlds- private practice flexibility and compensation with academic options. In affiliation with Michigan State University College of Medicine, our radiologists have opportunities to teach and mentor residents and pursue research if desired. Due to the size and breadth of the healthcare systems we support, diagnostic volume and variety of clinical exposure is unrivaled. We find that entrepreneurial minded physicians who value involvement in decision making and developing our business strategy fit well. Participation in section, committee and board meetings is not required but welcomed from day one.

Compensation/Benefits: We offer a competitive compensation plan and opportunities for additional shifts on a month to month basis. Our physicians pay nothing for medical/dental/vision coverage and enjoy an $18,000 medical reimbursement account annually. We also contribute the maximum amount allowed to the 401K plan ($66,000 in 2023). We offer 13 weeks of vacation for our standard track positions and we are continually striving to improve the work/life balance for our physicians.

Why do you want to live here? Grand Rapids has earned numerous awards and is considered one of the most desirable places to live in the country! Ranked number 20 in U.S. News & World Report's 2023 "Best Places to Live in the U.S.A," Grand Rapids is Michigan's second largest city and less than a 60 minute drive to Lake Michigan beach towns such as Holland, Grand Haven, and Saugatuck. Grand Rapids also offers a growing economy, award-winning schools and a craft brewery scene that is one of the best in the nation. Grand Rapids is proud of its traditional museums with substantial art collections, a Grammy-nominated symphony and Broadway Grand Rapids which brings productions to inspire audiences virtually every weekend.
