Hourly Rate: $50.40 This position is eligible for membership in the Plumbers & Pipefitters Local No.32, which is part of the Lake Washington School District Trades BargainingCouncil.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Field Supervisor, services, maintains and operates building HVAC systems and controls including kitchen equipment, steam boilers, hot water boilers, gas, oil and electric heating and cooling systems in school facilities; and related work as required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years as a journeyman and general building maintenance.
• Strong background in plumbing, HVAC and refrigeration required.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring required.
• Extensive experience with operating digital combustion analysis desired.
• Experience in direct controls and energy management systems preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:

• WA State driver's license
• EPA Universal Certification
• Boiler Operator License Preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 60% percent walking, and 30% percent standing. The job is performed inside or outside with some hazardous conditions, in varying atmospheric conditions.
The usual and customary methods of performing the functions of this job require the following physical demands:

• Frequent lifting, carrying and pushing up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach above shoulder level and twist
• Constant stand, walk, lift, and carry up to 20 pounds
• Occasional exposure to unprotected heights, dust, fumes, gases, and commercial strength chemicals.
• Exposure to moving machinery.
• Occasional fine finger dexterity.
