You will primarily operate a variety of fixed plant to aid in the safe undertaking of our quarry activities, including the processing of slate block at our onsite slate manufacturing facilities. You'll be an ideal fit for this position if you have a great sense of humour and don't mind getting your hands dirty!

Key Responsibilities
• Operate fixed plant machinery to process slate block in to roofing and architectural products
• Carry out pre-start safety inspections
• Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures

The current working pattern for this role is days, however there may be future requirements to work shifts.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Do you have...?

• A full UK Driving Licence - owing to the location of the quarry you will need to be able to drive your own vehicle or otherwise be able to reliably get yourself to work on time.
• A genuine interest in the construction materials industry, specifically an interest in roofing and architectural slate.
• Experience of production machinery in a Quarry environment would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided to the right candidate.
