At ABB Marine and Ports in Panama, we are focused on electrifying Container Terminals globally. Ports have many electrical consumers, such as Ship-to-Shore Cranes, Stacking Cranes, Reefer sockets, Shore Power, electric vehicles, and buildings. Within our team in Panama, we design and build electrical and automation infrastructure to provide reliable and sustainable power to our customers, enabling them to handle containers efficiently. Our scope includes Medium Voltage Substations, SCADA systems, Terminal Lighting, Reefer racks and their electrical systems, Electrical Vehicle charging infrastructure, and Grid Connection substations, among others. Our core products are prefabricated substations built in our facilities in Panama. These substations are fully tested and commissioned before they arrive at the construction site. These substations include medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, low-voltage switchgear, UPS, DC systems, SCADA, Fire Alarms, and climate control systems. Our project locations span the globe, covering the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. They typically take around 24 months to complete. Safety and Integrity are part of our DNA throughout the project lifecycle.

Your role and responsibilities

In your role as Service Sales Specialist, you will be part of the Ports business line within the Marine and Ports division in Panama, that is specialized in advanced automation and information systems for all types of container and bulk cargo handling cranes, as well as OCR and electrical systems for container terminals. Within Port service, we service our customers with installed base of ABB equipment. This in-cludes the sales of spare parts, revamps, modernization, end of life programs and commissioning. The geographical area is Latin America, excluding Brazil. Your responsibilities • Responsible to role out strategy in the region for Port Service sales, including customer mapping, installed base mapping, customer contacts, visits, reporting, prepare offers, explain offers, first line of respond to customer questions, discuss with factories, costing and hand over • Leading a team of 2 service engineers • Creation of business offers to clients • Mapping potential customers .

Qualifications for the role

  • Education Electrical or electromechanical background, sales back ground (more than 5 years)
  • Experience in in relevant field and proven leadership skills
  • Good knowledge of Cranes and Port industries
  • You are familiar with technologies Drives, automation, electrification
  • You have a desire to travel and built up a new business line
  • As a person you are a real driven and self initiator
