Responsibilities:
- Lead material and corrosion engineering activities for EPC offshore projects.
- Develop and review material selection strategies, corrosion monitoring plans, and related deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to NACE, ASME, API, ISO, DNV, and NORSOK standards.
- Provide technical guidance for corrosion prevention, material testing, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to optimize material selection and anti-corrosion measures.
- Maintain updated knowledge of corrosion control technologies and industry trends.
- Act as a technical authority on corrosion matters during project execution.
- Manage project teams and provide leadership in corrosion-related aspects.
- Interface with clients and vendors to ensure the highest standards of material integrity and corrosion protection are met.
Education:
- BE or MSc in Engineering for Materials and Corrosion / Material Science.
Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Expert knowledge of technical design software tools (ECE and PREDICT).
- NACE Corrosion Specialist certification or similar is considered an advantage.
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar position, within an EPC company.
Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of the upstream offshore industry.
- Expertise in corrosion monitoring, material selection activities, and related deliverables.
- Familiarity with international standards (NACE, ASME, API, ISO, DNV, NORSOK).
- Proven experience leading material and corrosion engineering efforts in offshore EPC projects.
