Summary
Our Marketing Manager role focused on demand generation is responsible for designing, creating, writing, and managing effective paid advertising campaigns on social channels to drive patient procedures to AMSURG's ambulatory service centers across various service lines. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in digital marketing, especially in paid social media advertising. The ideal candidate will not have direct reports but will work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and external agencies to achieve targeted results.
Work Schedule
Our Marketing Manager position is offered on a Remote-Centric Hybrid basis. The role requires onsite participation in quarterly meetings in Nashville (more often if needed), in addition to periodic travel of up to 10% to engage with ASCs, attend industry events, and participate in field marketing initiatives.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive paid advertising strategies across all AMSURG service lines, aimed at driving patient volume growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative digital marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth across channels like email, social media, and paid advertising.
- Oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of paid advertising campaigns across major social media platforms, including Facebook and X (Twitter) to increase patient volume for AMSURG's portfolio of ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).
- Collaborate with design and creative teams to conceptualize visually compelling and engaging ad creatives that resonate with target audiences while adhering to platform-specific ad policies and best practices.
- Analyze campaign performance data and provide insightful reports to the marketing team and senior management, highlighting key metrics and opportunities for optimization.
- Continuously optimize campaigns by testing different creatives, targeting strategies, ad placements, and other variables to maximize performance and return on investment.
- Monitor budget allocation and spending to ensure campaigns are cost-effective and deliver a high return on investment.
- Stay current with the latest trends and best social media marketing and advertising practices.
- Liaise with marketing directors and center directors to align advertising strategies with specific center needs and growth opportunities.
- Devise and implement comprehensive lead generation strategies for major industry trade shows and events (expected 15-20 annually), leveraging cutting-edge tactics like geofencing, social media promotion, and targeted advertising campaigns.
- Implement lead capture and nurturing strategies, including scannable badges, gamification, and post-event follow-up campaigns, to effectively convert trade show interactions into leads.
- Analyze trade show performance data, including lead quality, conversion rates, and return on investment, to continuously refine and optimize future strategies for maximum impact.
- Manage social media campaigns to drive leads to AMSURG Condition Sites (SCCN, YSM, YOS).
- Enforce social media platform governance, including standards and guidelines for AMSURG corporate and center-level employees, and monitor compliance.
- Develop and implement a social media paid advertising strategy to increase brand awareness in growth markets.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and ethical advertising and patient privacy guidelines.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
Experience/Capabilities
- Proven experience managing paid advertising campaigns across multiple social platforms.
- Strong analytical skills that can turn complex data into actionable campaign improvements.
- Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage timelines and deliverables.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms including CRM systems, Google Analytics, and social media advertising platforms.
- Experience in healthcare marketing preferred but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and communicate with various internal and external stakeholders.
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in digital marketing, specifically in paid social media advertising.
- Certifications in digital marketing platforms such as Facebook Blueprint, Google Ads Certification, or similar are highly desirable.
Physical Demands
- Engage in various physical activities occasionally such as standing, walking, and prolonged sitting.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
