AI VECE Firmware Internship position | Brno

Employment type: Part-time - 20h/week.

We have an opportunity for an AIVECE Firmware Intern position to join us at Honeywell in Brno.

This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careerswith hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth withinHoneywell.

The IA VECE group of SPSbusiness is oriented in looking in cost saving opportunities among variousIndustrial Automation products such as industrial gas and flame detectiondevices, but not limited only to these. Developed and produced devices detectenvironmental conditions based on sensors working at various physicalprinciples. Detectors are typically installed at oil rigs, oil refineries,chemical factories and other high-demanding and safety critical installations.

Before introducingproducts to the market, those devices are tested and certificated at multiple certificationauthorities. Currently produced models are constantly checked for cost savingdesign changes. The main scope of Firmware Intern's involvement is to designand conduct tests on firmware of the developed device, document it and supportrest of the team by providing accurate feedback and documents.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and automate test of firmware.
• Reviewtechnical documentation and execute test procedures.

Key skills and qualifications:

• Basicknowledge of C programming language and compilers for embedded systems.
• Basicknowledge of python scripting language and corresponding libraries.
• Basic ability to understand principles and algorithmsfrom software point of view.
• Abilityto define and write test procedures based on software requirements.
• IntermediateEnglish proficiency or better.
