NOV is currently seeking a skilled Data Performance Engineer to join our Performance Center. This key role involves analyzing and interpreting drilling data to ensure optimal run performance during automated drilling operations, a crucial aspect of our contractual agreements with customers. The successful candidate will be an essential member of our service group, providing technical support to both internal and external customers of NOV. Responsibilities include determining operating performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement through equipment tuning, maintenance, and automation usage.

Responsibilities include determining operating performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement through equipment tuning, maintenance, and automation usage.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical guidance to field personnel and onshore support to customers and the Service department.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date data in tracking systems.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams (Sales, Engineering, Workshop, Rentals) to ensure job documentation is timely and facilitate job closure.
- Analyze drilling data to assess performance, improve equipment tuning, and identify automation improvements.
- Attend customer planning sessions to set KPIs, create performance reports using data visualization, and recommend actions based on analytics.
- Identify anomalies, implement new analysis methods, and suggest Performance Center improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5+ years' experience in a related field desired
- Skilled with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Grafana)
- Strong knowledge of Drilling Fundamentals and Equipment
- Experience with Drilling Controls (Amphion, Cyberbase)
- Proficient in Automation Systems (NOVOS, MMC)
- Data analysis skills, including Excel and SQL/programming
- Experience creating reports, dashboards, and KPIs
