This position reports to

Director, Materials Management, ELIP

Your role and responsibilities

• Control inventory levels within assigned commodity group using established policies and procedures • Work with the system mainframe computer, produce and analyze MRP requirements and execute action plan in accordance (i.e. places purchase orders, cancel, expedite, de-expedite) • Perform daily, weekly and monthly follow-ups with suppliers regarding open orders • Acts as liaison between ABB and our supplier base on such varied aspects and departments (i.e. Quality, Engineering, Materials Management) • Interacts with customer service, inside sales and marketing departments on data gathering, analysis, decision making and execution for all day to day operations affected by procurement activities • Perform and communicate periodically forecast to supplier

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, B.Comm or equivalent
  • Experience in using the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, SAP & AS400 platform knowledge is an asset
  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a collaborative, solution-oriented attitude and strong communication and analytical skills
  • Be bilingual, both spoken and written (French and English)
  • Be comfortable learning new systems
  • This is a 12 month Maternity leave replacement and could be extend should need be.
