The 6th Grade Boys' Basketball Coach will be responsible for coaching, supervising, and managing the 6th-grade boys' basketball team during practices and games. The coach will create a positive, inclusive, and educational environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and conduct 3-5 practices per week.
• Supervise and manage the team during 4-6 scheduled games.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance during all practices and games, ensuring the safety and well-being of all student-athletes.
• Foster teamwork, discipline, and a strong work ethic within the team.
• Create and implement practice plans focused on player skill development, game strategies, and fitness.
• Communicate regularly with players, parents, and school administration about schedules, team progress, and any concerns.
• Ensure compliance with all district policies and athletic guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience preferred, particularly with middle school-aged students.
• Strong understanding of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies.
• Ability to effectively communicate and manage a team of young athletes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to promote a positive sports environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification

Work Schedule:

• Practices: 3-5 per week (scheduled after school).
• Games: 4-6 games scheduled over the season (including home and away games).

Stipend:
- $1,850.00
